CREATING EFFECTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

This competence is in the area of science teacher education. With this competence, the teacher should be able to encourage students no matter their status, gender, etc. to actively involved in learning activities. The effective environment should highlight the role of learners, who should be respected no matter they are smart or not. Teachers should create opportunities for learners to express their ideas, to interact with peers and teachers, to try their ideas. Teachers should notice and respect the diversity of the audience and motivate them to construct knowledge actively. Teachers should also be able to manage the class to ensure the students are not distracted.
